'Tabibi is a collection of over 100 mixed media abstract paintings representing the emotional liberation from self-entanglement, inspired by a Senegalese poet and Sufi leader, Sheikh Ibrahim Niasse, 'Tabiibi Qaribun' (Restoration of my health is nearer). Written in 1965.
The author reflects on his beloved and the connection to a universal love, highlighting a paradoxical situation where one's source of joy also becomes a source of pain and healing.
